From the start, and against the advice of many “marketing experts”, I deliberately chose not to use this blog to sell real estate or my own services as an agent. As both a consumer and a Realtor, I felt there was a glaring lack of good, reliable information about the local real estate market, and I decided to provide that information. I believed–and I still believe–that providing unbiased, useful information about the local market, with no strings attached, would allow readers to recognize for themselves that I am smart, motivated and, frankly, THE expert when it comes to the Hoboken real estate market. This strategy has proved to be extremely successful as I’ve created a lot of good will that brings me much business.
Every now and then, however, I meet someone who tells me they love the blog and read it religiously, but are working with another agent. When I ask why they didn’t call me when they needed a Realtor, the most common reply is “We didn’t think of it.”
So–I’m putting it out there, people: I am a Realtor. I make my living helping people buy and sell real estate in Hoboken.
