    Hi Lori – I noticed a property was listed as sold both last week and this week (601 observer highway)…do you know why that would be the case? Is that just a mistake or is there some other reason why that would happen? Just curious.

    Glad to see you’re paying attention ; )

    It’s the same transaction. If the sale is entered into the MLS on Friday, for example and back dated to Wednesday, it shows up twice. Our MLS fails to enforce reporting rules. Any change in status is supposed to be entered within 24 hours but many agents don’t bother and there is no repercussion for entering the info late. We catch most of them but sometimes one slips through the cracks!
