Hi Lori,
Quick question for you. In Hoboken, the tenants in our building don’t have grills on the balconies because it’s part of the condo rules. I see on one of the neighboring buildings someone has a grill on the balcony. Are grills on balconies a city or state violation, or is the rule determined per condo building.
Thank you!
I think your best bet is to check with the Hoboken fire department and inquire as to the rule regarding grills. Some buildings permit and some prohibit but I’m not sure who makes the rules. It can also be an association insurance issue – some insurers won’t write policies on condo assocations that permit grills. Hope that helps!
