Hoboken Real Estate and the Coronavirus

Wow, things can change quickly.

I have a long connection with Italy, as I worked there for many years and have many friends and family who live there.  Following closely what’s happening there as in informs us what we may expect here.  The stories are heartbreaking.

In the US, mortgage rates may be at all time lows but local open houses are being severely limited or cancelled altogether.  So far, regular appointments for showings are mostly taking place.

As part of its economic relief package, Italy has suspended all mortgage payments!

First case reported in Hoboken and national state of emergency declared.  I’m sure I don’t need to bring up what’s going on in the financial markets, where so many of you make your livings.  We are in for a wild ride.

Buckle up, folks.  Then wash your hands and stay away from each other.  Most of all, look out for each other and stay safe!

It depends if you are buying now to sell in a year, or if you are buying now to sell in 10 years.
